Dom Cavicchia
About
Hailing from suburban St. Louis, Missouri, Dom holds a BA in Theatre from Truman State University. Within a few years of graduation, Dom observed many of his now "adulting" peers struggling with debt collection, leases, family matters, taxes, and other legal issues beyond their understanding. In every case, highly skilled and educated individuals were faced with nearly insurmountable barriers of "legalese," red tape, and fine print. Confident in his ability to overcome these challenges and feeling called to be of greater service, Dom committed himself to the study of law and was honored to receive generous scholarship support to attend Washburn University School of Law.
In addition to receiving his J.D. with Dean’s Honors from Washburn Law in 2019, Dom also earned certificates with distinction in both Estate Planning and Tax Law and began his legal career in the areas of estate planning, elder law, and Medicaid planning. Eventually, Dom’s passion for walking side by side with clients in the trenches of their legal battles led him to the courtroom, where, as a staff attorney for Kansas Legal Services, he gained several years of civil litigation experience helping survivors of domestic abuse pursue protective orders, child support and custody, and divorce.
Now, working in collaboration with the dedicated members of Addair Law’s family law division, Dom is committed to providing compassionate representation to protect clients’ deeply personal and supremely important interests as they navigate the highly complex intersection between private family matters and the legal system. Outside of work, Dom enjoys contributing to theatrical productions at the Manhattan Arts Center. Dom and his wife are so grateful to call "The Little Apple" home and are delighted to be raising their children in the beautiful Flint Hills.
