Andrew Vinduska
About
Andy Vinduska is a Manhattan, Kansas criminal defense attorney at Addair Law who represents clients in DUI, drug, traffic, juvenile, felony, and federal criminal cases throughout Kansas.
Andy brings a deep understanding of criminal law from both sides of the courtroom. With experience as a public defender, prosecutor, and criminal defense attorney, he understands how cases are investigated, charged, negotiated, and tried. He uses that perspective to help clients navigate some of the most stressful moments of their lives.
Andy earned his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice in 2003 and his Master’s degree in Criminal Justice in 2004 from Washburn University. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Washburn University School of Law in 2007. He is admitted to practice in Kansas and the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas.
Andy began his legal career with the Sedgwick County Public Defender’s Office in Wichita, where he represented clients facing felony charges ranging from lower-level offenses to cases carrying life imprisonment. He later served as a prosecutor with the 18th Judicial District Attorney’s Office (Sedgwick County), handling matters from traffic offenses to first-degree murder. That experience gave him valuable insight into how prosecutors evaluate evidence, prepare witnesses, and build criminal cases.
Since late 2011, Andy has focused his practice on criminal defense in Manhattan, Kansas. He represents juveniles and adults in state and federal court in matters ranging from traffic offenses and DUI charges to serious felony cases. His approach is practical, thorough, and client-centered: he takes time to explain the process, evaluate the evidence, and develop a defense strategy tailored to each case.
In June 2024, Andy earned the ACS-CHAL Forensic Lawyer-Scientist Designation, recognized by the Chemistry and the Law Division of the American Chemical Society. The designation requires advanced hands-on coursework and proficiency testing in areas including forensic chromatography, forensic drug analysis, and forensic principles of drugged driving. This training gives Andy a technical understanding of the breath, blood, and drug-testing evidence often involved in DUI, drug, and impaired-driving cases. Andy Vinduska earned the designation on June 19, 2024.
Andy is also a member of the DUI Defense Lawyers Association and the Kansas Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
Outside the courtroom, Andy is a husband, father, and active member of the St. George/Rock Creek community. His lifelong connection to baseball began in childhood, continued through college on scholarship, and remains part of his community involvement today through his service with the Rock Creek Diamond Club, a nonprofit organization that supports the funding Rock Creek USD 323’s varsity-level baseball field.
If you have been charged with an offense in Kansas State or federal court, Andy can help you understand the process, protect your rights, and move forward with a clear defense strategy. To schedule a consultation, call (785) 645-2732.
